Ok… ok… I know I said I loved the previous two books, but I also really *loved* this one too. This whole series is so good.

His Enforcer feels like a big departure from the first two books in the best way possible. While The Silencer and His Prince had plenty of spicy scenes, this one really ramps it up. The kink is much more present and way more central to the story than in the previous books. It’s not just thrown in for the sake of spice either — it’s woven into their relationship and power dynamic in a way that feels really intentional. Viktor is desperate, needy, and has a very specific set of kinks, and Luca slowly learns exactly how to push every single one of his buttons.

There’s also plenty of hurt/comfort in this book. Luca’s backstory takes time to reveal, and I really liked how the slow unravelling of details mirrored the progression of their relationship. Viktor’s self-loathing and years of pining made the more degrading or intense scenes hit harder emotionally, and Luca’s growing possessiveness made the heat feel earned.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Harley Chase and he absolutely nailed it. His performance made Viktor’s neediness and internal conflict feel even more visceral, and he brought real intensity to Luca’s dominant side.

One quote that perfectly captured Viktor’s mindset and gave me all the feels was:

“The real reason I hate Luca so much… is because he’ll never really want me.”

Another amazing book in the series. Cora Rose is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors.
