Meetings with the Minotaur

I want to begin by mentioning that I am already a big fan of M.A. Wardell. His Teachers in Love series is one of my favorites, and I have read it repeatedly. Marvin and Olan will always hold a special place in my heart.

So when I picked up Meetings with the Minotaur (Love at Labyrinth Solutions, Book 1), I had high hopes… and it didn't only meet them but totally blew them away! This monster romance is an absolute delight from start to finish.

The story revolves around Jamie Torres, an incredibly relatable human who has been delivering mail in the basement at Labyrinth Solutions for a year. When his boss, the vampire Vanessa Voss, unexpectedly needs time off, Jamie gets a surprising opportunity to step in and cover for her upstairs. This temporary role thrusts him into working directly with the company’s CEO: the towering, stunning, and somewhat intimidating minotaur, Magnus Trainor, known for his impressive thick thighs.

What starts as helping with a big pitch for the city’s Community Outreach Initiative quickly turns into so much more. The power dynamics, the *huge* size difference, the slow-burn workplace tension it’s all sooo good!

Wardell’s writing is just as fantastic as always, it's so witty and full of banter. Jamie and Magnus are both incredibly likable and their relationship builds in such a sweet, satisfying way.

And let’s be real… the sex scenes are *super* steamy! Like, scorchingly hot with tons of passion, emotion, and that “romance with feelings… and also buckets of cum” energy the dedication promised. They’re some of the hottest I’ve read in a while!

If you’re in the mood for a fun, low-angst monster romance with great characters, excellent banter, workplace chaos, and seriously spicy scenes, this book is an absolute treat. I loved every single page and can’t wait for more in the Love at Labyrinth Solutions series!
