I just finished The Silent Mountain Man by Casey Cox and it was such an awesome cosy quick read.

If you’ve been craving a steamy, heart-melting MM romance with a brooding bearded mountain man, this novella is just the ticket.

Eddie’s car gets absolutely wrecked in a mudslide leaving him stranded in the mountains. Enter Harrick, a sexy mountain man. He offers Eddie a place to stay, and let’s just say the cabin gets very  warm, very fast.

But here’s the delicious twist: these two have history. The kind of history that involves secret teenage letters, first-love butterflies, and a heartbreak that never quite healed. Watching them rediscover each other was equally frustrating as it was beautiful. I wanted to scream at the two of them.

The audibook was narrated by the phenomenal Kirt Graves. He gives Harrick that perfect deep, gravelly, voice, while capturing Eddie’s voice with snarky, humor and vulnerability. The way Kirt switches between the two characters, nails the emotional flashbacks, and absolutely delivers during those steamy cabin scenes. Casey Cox packed a full emotional punch into this 90-ish page novella. It’s funny, it’s swoony, it’s steamy as hell and it left me excited to read the next one.

This book is fantastic.
