Suck (Feed and Feast Book 1) by Cora Rose and E.M. Lindsey

I love a good monster romance and this one didn’t disappoint. Suck (Feed and Feast Book 1) by Cora Rose and E.M. Lindsey was so good.

When portals open and monsters show up… not to invade, but because they literally need something very specific from humans? The government starts recruiting for what is basically the most unhinged cross-dimensional exchange program ever. Everest is more than willing to do his civic duty like a good little soldier… until he gets matched with Rathyn of the Dark Vale.

Rathyn is an intense dude. He’s very literal, super jealous, with major “touch him and die” vibes (or at least lose an arm). The “this is just an arrangement” phase lasts about five seconds before Everest’s particular brand of enthusiastic participation and Rathyn’s growing addiction to both his taste and his cuddles turns everything upside down.

The spice is wonderfully, beautifully unhinged. Think lots and lots and lots of sucking, monster anatomy, piercings, tails, and magical herbs that “enhance” things in the best way. Beyond the spice though, this book is funny, sweet, and genuinely romantic. Rathyn learning human sarcasm, Everest’s sassy little comebacks, the way these two go from reluctant contract to “you are mine and I am yours”… it got me good.

Zachary Zaba absolutely crushed it. He brought Everest’s sass and Rathyn’s deep, soul-melting monster voice to life so perfectly that I was completely hooked the whole time.

The world-building is so good, and the side characters are already living rent-free in my head. I’m counting down the days (only 6 to go!) until Book 2 because I neeeeed Cielo and Dante’s story ASAP. A gorgeous sweetheart of a monster in a pink coat? Sold. Yes please.
